“it´s very rare to express complex music so easily as these avantgardists” JAZZTHING Nov 2011 – Götz Bühler (Feature!!!)

INTENSIVSTATION – a Trio, that sounds like a Quartett or Quintett … “fascinating, highly inspired improvisational skills” jazzthing
John Schröder is a multiinstrumentalist and kind of a Free Jazz Godfather from Berlin. No matter if he is playing drums for Nils Wogram or Guitar for Erdmann 3000, nor Piano in his trio – he is always on the edge of artistry! In this certain Trio, John is featured on 3 instruments which he is playing simultaneously. So the Band sometimes sounds like a Quartett or even Quintett. Wolfgang Zwiauer on bass is one of the most desired musicians in Switzerland and together with Alfred Vogel´s “considerable drumming skills” (jazztimes) the 2 men lay down some of the hottest grooves in the alpes.
